Specializing in custom residential and commercial projects and sustainable design integration. Projects vary from remodeling existing homes, to new construction in both traditional and modern styles, and commercial & institutional tenant improvements. A case study sustainable green home is currently under development.

Senior Project Manager/Senior Designer
Responsible for initial design through construction phases of primarily custom residential projects. Projects vary from a small classical writer’s pavilion in Darien, Connecticut featured in May 2004 Architectural Digest, and historic remodel of the Lindeberg Residence in Short Hills, New Jersey, to new 12,000 – 20,000 s.f. custom residential projects. Project architect on the Stuart Residence in Beverly Hills featured in October 2006 & January 2007 Architectural Digest, and April 2007 Los Angeles Magazine. Also responsible for the design and construction documents of two commercial projects; McEvoy Olive Pressing Facility in Petaluma, CA and Appleton & Associates offices in Santa Monica, CA.

Worked as part of a design team through development and document phases of many varied projects, some of which include: institutional projects, large commercial centers, administration buildings for research and manufacturing facilities, multi-family residential projects, and numerous multiplex theater projects for Mann Theaters. Also responsible for managing the design development of a 200,000 s.f. retail, office, restaurant, and theater project in Westwood
Village, California, as well as a small community cultural/cinema center in Watts, California.

Project designer assisting design principal of an Industry Headquarters in San Diego, which received an AIA award in 1994 for the team's ability to turn “energy-efficient design into exciting architecture”. The project also received a gold nugget award in 1994 and was named “Best rehabilitated commercial project.” Responsible for developing the exterior and interior elevations with the design principal and developing all exterior and interior detailing in the construction document stage. Also involved in residential remodel work as well as the preliminary site planning for a large institutional facility.

Worked on CIEE Integrated Envelope/Lighting Technologies Project in conjunction with Lawrence Berkeley Laboratories, which involved preparing case studies and conducting interviews with project architects at major firms in Los Angeles such as Gensler, Johnson, Fain, & Pereira, & Nadel Architects, dealing with their consideration of energy efficiency in the building envelope design.

Site Planner
Design of recreational facilities: involved meeting with administrators to discuss changes and problems related to their school yards and drawing plans for these changes, most due to new bungalows, safety problems, or repair of yards. Developed new templates for primary games and activities including a motor skills course.

ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE

Designed winning logo for Civic Arts Plaza, Thousand Oaks, CA.
Designed and managed production of sculpture awards for Civic Arts Plaza patrons.
Co-designed sculpture in Tel Aviv to commemorate benefactors of the Tel Aviv Foundation.
